Request for Address Changes
Office of the Registrar
Name Changes
To change your name, you must bring the legal documentation to the Registrar's Office with the official declaration of your name change (E.g., marriage license, divorce degree, or other legal document). If you are not a local student, you must send a notarized copy of the document to our office (it cannot be faxed).
Please note that name changes done in the Registrar's Office only changes your name in the Banner system. You must also submit your name change to the Help Desk in order for your name change to be reflected in WebCT. You must e-mail them at with your old and new names and your telephone number in order to initiate this change. These requests are usually processed between semesters (not while classes are in session) so as not to cause confusion mid-term. Until it is complete in WebCT, please ensure that your instructors are aware of your name change issue.
