Embassy Outreach and
Support Meetings
January 8 - 11, 2006
n January international admissions intern Anna Wanner and I traveled to Washington D.C. to meet with embassy officials representing the home countries of several of our international students.
Our mission was to acquire a broader and deeper understanding of the international, political, and economic issues affecting those nations that had become, in a small but important way, members of the UC family.
The experience was both productive and enlightening, and we made a great many new friends. The Office of International Admissions will be arranging similar meetings with other nations represented in UC's student body.
Here are a few more photos from the January trip:

Anna and I also met with:
- Deputy Cultural Counselor Mr. Robby Judes and Non-Governmental Cooperation Advisor Dr. Christian Joly at the Embassy of France.
- Executive Officer of the Embassy of the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago, Lystra Hinds, welcomed us to discuss opportunities for students seeking admission to study at Utica College from the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.
We're looking forward to similar opportunities in the coming months. If you would like more information about our outreach and support meetings, contact me at ccominsky@utica.edu
