Scholarships Offered by Outside (Non-UC) Organizations
UC students can apply for any of several additional scholarship options offered by area organizations. These include:
AAUW Scholarship Awards for Women
Amount: $1,000
Number of scholarships available: 2 or 3

American Institute of CPAs
AICPA/Accountemps Student ScholarshipAmount: $2,500 per recipient for one year
Eligibility: Current majors in accounting, finance, or information systems
AICPA/John L. Carey Scholarship
Amount: $5,000 per recipient for one year
Eligibility: Liberal arts degree holders pursuing graduate studies in accounting and the CPA designation

Associated General Contractors of NYS, LLC's Scholarship
Amount: $2,500
Number of scholarships available: 12 (in 2009)
Eligibility: Open to New York State residents attending a college or university in or outside New York State, majoring in construction technology or civil engineering and maintaining a 2.5 gpa or better.

Institute of Management Accounts (IMA)
Memorial Education Fund (MEF) ScholarshipAmount: $1000 to $2,500
Eligibility: An IMA student member pursuing study in accounting or finance as an undergraduate or graduate student
Stuart Cameron and Margaret McCleod Memorial (SCMS) Scholarship
Amount: $5,000 plus receive lodging, transportation and registration consts for both the IMA Annual Conference and Exposition and the IMA Student Leadership Conference
Eligibility: An IMA student member pursuing study in accounting or finance as an undergraduate or graduate student

Koster Insurance Health Careers Scholarship Program
Amount: $5,000
Number of scholarships available: 5 (in 2009)
Eligibility: All full-time undergaduate students majoring in a healthcare related field entering their junior or senior year and having a 3.0 or better gpa.

Edna A. Lauterbach Scholarship for Nurses in New York State
Amount: Up to $2,000
Number of scholarships available: Varies from year to year
Eligibility: RNs and LPNs in New York state developing home-based or community-based care business, with demonstrated financial need. (Detailed eligibility requirements on the application.)

2009 Price Chopper's Golub Foundation
Amount: Up to $2,000
Number of scholarships available: 10 (in 2009)
Eligibility: The Junior College Transfer Scholarship is for a graduate or graduating student of a community or junior college, transferring to a four year college or university, as a junior, starting the Fall 2009 semester. The Graduate or Professional School scholarship is for a graduating college senior or returning student who is planning on attending graduate school as a fully matriculated, first year graduate student for the Fall 2009 semester. Rochester District of the New York State Occupational Therapy Association
Amount: $1,000
Eligibility: Students whose permanent address is within the Rochester District, full or part time students for an Associates, Bachelors, Masters or Doctoral in Occupational Therapy degree.

SPEND on LIFE Scholarship
Amount: $5,000 (2009)

Eligibility: Students must be a legal US resident , 17 to 25 years of age, and enrolled or planning to enroll as a student at an accredited two or four year college or university to be eligible.

Syracuse Builders Exchange Scholarship
Amount: $2,000
Number of scholarships available: 2
Eligibility: Students attending college in New York State. Applicants must be Syracuse Builders Exchange member firm employees or dependents of employees.

Tylenol® Scholarship
Amount: between $5,000 and $10,000Number of scholarships available: 40
Eligibility: Students in the health professions. Judged on leadership qualities and academic performance.

Zonta Club of the Oneida Area
Amount: $600
Number of scholarships available: 1
Eligibility: Candidates must be female students who are going back to school to improve their lives and/or their families. They must be half way through their educational program, have an overall average of C or better, and be residents within the Canastota, Oneida, Stockbridge Valley or Vernon Verona Sherrill school districts.

Zonta Club of Utica Award
Amount: $1,000
Number of scholarships available: 4
Eligibility: Candidates must be female students 25 years of age or older who have had to leave or postpone formal education to deal with adult responsibility, and who can demonstrate significant financial need after all other forms of assistance have been exhausted.

Zonta Club of Utica Award - Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarship
Amount: $500 for local winner and becomes eligible for District scholarship of $500
Number of scholarships available: 1
Eligibility: This international scholarship is open to women entering their third or fourth year of study leading to a business-related bachelor's degree.
