A Welcome From The President
Dr. Todd S. Hutton, President of Utica College
Thank you for visiting Utica College's home on the Web. On behalf of everyone at UC, I welcome you.
There are a great many things I could tell you about UC that might give you a sense of its uniqueness, from its beginnings as an institution serving World War II veterans and their families, to its remarkable growth as a comprehensive independent college over the past few years. But perhaps the best introduction can be experienced through meeting and interacting with the students, alumni, faculty, and staff who together make this such an exceptionally vibrant community.
"While we are known for our excellent academic programs and our extensive, modern, and attractive campus facilities, the spirit and promise of Utica College resides in its people."
- the enthusiasm of a mathematics professor when he explains the properties of his "magic" squares.
- the excitement of a high school student who kindles a lifelong passion for science in UC's biology lab.
- the gratitude of a successful UC alumnus towards one dedicated professor who made all the difference.
...and so much more.
Please take a few moments to explore the UC experience online. Then I hope you will do us the honor of visiting our campus so that you can see first-hand all that we have to offer.
You may find, as many others have, that UC is about you, too.
Best regards,
Todd S. Hutton, Ph.D.
