The office of Career Services strives to be of assistance to faculty and staff in an effort to bring focus to a student's career choice. From seminars and presentations to tips on writing letters of recommendation, we are here as a resource for you.
- If you are unable to teach one of your classes, or you would like a specific career development topic addressed give us a call, we'll be glad to work with you to provide programming and/or information tailored to meet your students needs. Topics can include but are not limited to:
- Résumé writing
- Cover and thank you letters
- Interviewing
- Job search
- Etiquette
- Mock interviews
- If you would like to use handouts and publications as part of your course let us know and we would be happy to share our resources with you. Did you know that the Office of Career Services maintains its own Career Resource Library filled with over 100 books for you or your students to use? Additional
FREE resources include:
- Graduate/Professional school test bulletins: GRE, GMAT, LSAT, MCAT
- Job Choices magazines (Science and Technology, Diversity and Business and Liberal Arts), The Black Collegian, Jobpostings monthly magazine, The Career Planning Guide and The Graduate School Guide.
- If you have a personal or professional contact who is interested in serving as a networking contact, co-op or internship site host, or potential employer, please contact us or have them contact us. Additionally, make sure they know about
UCconnects.com our opportunity posting system.
- If you know of a student who is looking for an internship or co-op, full or part-time job or who would benefit from Career Counseling, taking a career assessment or our other services, contact us or have them stop by the office, 206 Strebel Student Center and we'll be glad to provide assistance.
- Each semester a calendar of on-campus and local and regional career fairs, workshops and events is produced and distributed on campus. If you need a copy give us a call if you have one

If approached by a current or former student about composing a letter of recommendation to assist them with their career search or the process of furthering their education please use this form. Once the form is completed, send it to The Office of Career Services through campus mail. We will then contact the student and have them come in and sign the completed form.
