Health Insurance
Utica College offers student health insurance coverage through Aetna, and this covers the student 365 days a year both on and off campus. Any matriculated student carrying six or more credits is eligible to apply for this insurance. All full time students are required to contract for the student health insurance, or must provide documentation of other comparable coverage, through their family, their work, or other sources. The deadline to submit a waiver form for Fall 2009 has passed. For more information please call Haylor, Freyer and Coon at 1-800-289-1501 and ask for a college specialist.
Aetna
Medical insurance coverage is provided by Aetna. This plan is a "primary benefit" plan that will pay a student's medical expenses first, even if the student has other medical coverage through a parent or guardian program. New students receive a mailing in early summer with details about the insurance and about the waiver/enrollment process. For more information or to receive a pamphlet, please call (315) 792-3094 or e-mail any questions to studenthealthcenter@utica.edu.
