The Housing Selection Process
The Office of Residence Life's Housing Selection Process is the primary method for all returning students to individually select their room for the upcoming Fall semester. Participation in the process is open to all full time Utica College students (Graduate and Undergraduate) and providing that they follow the necessary requirements and deadlines of the process, they will be guaranteed housing for upcoming year.
Residing on campus at Utica College contributes greatly to positive development of the entire campus community and the Housing Selection process has been designed to mirror those contributions. By succeeding academically and maintaining a positive presence on campus and within the residence halls students will be able to receive a higher priority status when selecting their rooms. In addition, we provide incentive for our junior and senior tudents to remain on campus by basing the Housing Selection Process on class standing. New for the 2008-2009 selection process:
This year all students who participate in the Housing Selection Process must be registered for full time status (12 or more credits) for the Fall 2008 semester at the time the Housing Selection process occurs.
This year the Housing Selection Process will occur over a two week time period, much less than the 4 weeks (or longer) than in the past. This was in response to student feedback and the creation of our next major initiative.
