BALL NAMED EMPIRE 8 PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Senior captain Dan Ball of the Utica College men’s soccer team was named the Empire 8 Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 5. Ball netted three goals, including two game winners, to help Utica steal three key victories throughout the week.
Murphy made his first start
MURPHY NAMED E8 GOALIE OF THE WEEK
Sophomore Kevin Murphy of the Utica College men’s soccer team was named Empire 8 Goalie of the Week for the week ending Oct. 5. Murphy made 16 saves while helping Utica shut out all three opponents, including two conference rivals.
MCDONNELL NAMED E8 GOALIE OF THE WEEK
Senior Amanda McDonnell of the Utica College women’s field hockey team was named the Empire 8 Goalie of the Week for the week ending Oct. 5. The team captain stopped 13 shots en route to a shutout against E8 defending champion Nazareth College while helping Utica clinch a playoff birth in the E8 Conference Tournament.
