Dan Bittel 2008: Started 17 games for the Pioneers and recorded a .212 batting average with 11 hits, one double, one triple and one homerun...Tallied eight RBI's, seven runs scored and seven walks on the year...Had 69 put-outs and 10 assists for a .988 fielding percentage...Went 3-for-8 with four RBI's and one homerun in a two-win double-header against Cazenovia College (04/30/08).

High School: Named First team Berskshire League as both a junior and senior for Northwestern Region HS . Academic All-State, Connecticut district All-Star at Northwestern Region HS.

Personal: The son of Lori and Phil Bittel, Dan is a physical therapy major. His twin brother Adam is also a player on the baseball team.
