MEN'S XC TAKES THIRD PLACE AT E8 CHAMPIONSHIPS; POSTING BEST FINISH IN PROGRAM HISTORY

The Utica College cross country program competed at the Empire 8 Conference Cross Country Championships hosted by RPI Saturday. The men’s team competed very well and placed third overall, out of seven teams, while the women’s squad took seventh place. The men’s finish is the best conference finish in the four year history of the program.

MEN & WOMEN COMPETE AT REIF MEMORIAL RUN HOSTED BY CORNELL

The Utica College men's and women's cross country programs competed at the 23rd annual John Reif Memorial Run hosted by Cornell University at the Moakley course in Ithaca, NY Friday. Sophomore Brian Stevens led the men's team with a time of 28:43.8 in the five mile race, good for a 37th place finish. Sophomore Susan Torchia took 31st place in the women's 5,000 meter race with a time of 21.42.7.

WOMEN PLACE 8TH; MEN TAKE 9TH AT HAMITLON COLLEGE CROSS COUNTRY INVITATIONAL

The Utica College men's cross country team accumulated 234 points and placed ninth, while the women's team tallied 240 points and placed eighth at the Hamilton College Cross Country Invitational in Clinton, NY Saturday. Sophomore Brian Stevens was the top finisher for Utica with a time of 28:23.5 in the men's 8K, while junior Erica Cline was the first Pioneer to place on the women's team with a time of 20:24.3 in the women's 6K.
