Blaise Faggiano was named head coach of the Utica College football team in the winter of 2007. In two seasons at the helm he has guided Utica to a 7-13 overall record, including a 4-6 record this past season, marking the second highest single season win total in the program's nine year history.

As a team UC broke several single season school records this past year including rushing touchdowns (21), pass completions and receptions (215), passing and receiving yards (2,564), passing touchdowns (22), passing yards per game (256.4), total offensive yards (3,876), touchdowns responsible for (69), total yards of offense per game (387.6), all purpose yards (4,979), total points scored (344) and quarterback sacks (23).

Prior to his arrival at Utica, Faggiano spent nine seasons as defensive coordinator and recruiting coordinator at St. John Fisher College in Rochester, NY. He played a major role in the recent success of the St. John Fisher football program, guiding the Cardinals to the national quarterfinals of the NCAA Division III Tournament in each of the past two seasons.

He graduated from Ithaca College, where he was a member of the football team and helped guide the Bombers to a Division III National Championship in 1991. After earning his undergraduate degree in 1993, he accepted a graduate assistant coaching position at the University at Albany, where he earned a master’s degree in liberal arts. Faggiano returned to Ithaca College in 1995, and was part of a coaching staff that led the Bombers to postseason appearances in three out of four seasons.

Faggiano attended Rush-Henrietta High School, where he received All-Greater Rochester honors on the gridiron. He recently earned a master’s degree, his second, in educational administration from Fisher. He currently resides in Whitesboro, NY, with his wife Alison and his son, James.
