Jackie Kosakowski Kosakowski is a 2005 graduate of The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA with a degree in Kinesiology. She was an 8-time All Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) conference team member, a 4-time All- ECAC selection, and was on the 2004 All-Southeast Region team in cross country. In her freshman year she was selected as the CAA Rookie of the Year for cross country. She currently holds the #3 3000 meter steeplechase time and the #10 5,000 meter time in William and Mary history. She was recently selected by a panel of current and past coaches to be on the CAA's 25th Anniversary Cross Country team which honors the top 25 runners in CAA history.
Her previous coaching experience includes coaching cross country and indoor/outdoor track at Hanover High School in Richmond, VA from 2007 to 2009. Her distance runners have earned 56 All-District distinctions, were All-Region 12 times, relays have made two All-Region teams, and one athlete has been All-State two times. Her girls cross country team won the Capital District Championship in Cross Country and advanced to the state championships in her first year of coaching.
Kosakowski is originally from Sauquoit, NY and ran cross country, indoor, and outdoor track for Sauquoit Valley High School. She qualified for the state cross country championships all four years of high school, winning the Class C state championship in her senior year. She won several Center State Conference titles as well as eight Section III Championships. She is the current school record holder in the 1500 meter and 3000 meter runs.
