Mario Roefaro

Mario Roefaro is entering his first season as assistant coach of the Utica College baseball team. His primary coaching emphasis will be working with the pitching staff.

Roefaro is a 2008 graduate of Binghamton University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in philosophy, politics and law. In two seasons at Binghamton, a division I institution, he helped guide the baseball team to two straight regular season conference championships.

Prior to Binghamton he earned an associate’s degree in arts from nearby Herkimer County Community College. He played two years of varsity baseball at HCCC. As a closer and first baseman he guided the Generals to a Mountain Valley Conference Championship and an appearance in the national championships.

His previous coaching experience includes four years (2003-2007) of coaching lessons and clinics at Field of Dreams Sports Complex. He also coached a 13 year old travel team in 2006.

Roefaro is a 2004 graduate of Thomas R. Proctor High School in Utica. As a senior on the baseball team he was named All Central New York. He currently resides in Utica.
