UC FOOTBALL EARNS FIRST VICTORY OF SEASON


The Utica College football team defeated host Springfield College 16-12 in Empire 8 Conference action Saturday. Junior kicker Casey McNulty knocked down three field goals including a clincher to put the Pioneers up four points with 3:37 left in the contest.

KAHL NAMED E8 DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK


Junior linebacker Eric Kahl of the Utica College football team was named the Empire 8 Conference Defensive Player of the Week after posting a career-high 17 tackles in the Pioneers’ 24-10 loss to visiting RPI Saturday.

PIONEERS POST VALIANT EFFORT ON HOMECOMING BUT COME UP SHORT AGAINST RPI


The Utica College football team lost to visiting RPI 24-10 Saturday afternoon on the turf at Charles A. Gaetano Stadium. After a near stalemate in the first half the Engineers turned on the offense, producing 278 yards of total offense in the second half, while creating five turnovers as they earned their second consecutive victory.
