Oswego NY-The Utica College men’s golf team was one of 11 teams in Oswego’s State Invitational held at Oswego Country Club on Monday in Oswego, NY. The Pioneers placed seventh with a team scorecard totaling 342.

Oswego Country Club has a USGA rating/slope of 70.5. The course and is a par 71, 36 on the front and 35 on the back with a total yardage of 6,410.

Each team was allotted to start five players and recorded the top four scores. For Utica College, Alex Mitchell (Marcellus) shot 82 for 18 holes. He shot a 38 on the front and 42 on the back. Tyler Iles (Verona) shot 40 on the back with a total 85 and Zach Reed (North Rose) hit 42 on the back and finished with 86.

UC is back in action at the ECAC Championships October 3rd and 4th at Ravenwood Golf Club in Victor, NY. Ravenwood has a course rating of 71. Utica College placed ninth in the ECAC Division III Metro Championships last year.
