UC GOLF TEAM TAKE SECOND PLACE TO COMPLETE FALL SEASON

Clinton, NY- The Utica College men's golf team took the course Saturday at the SUNYIT invitational at Skenendoah Golf Course in Clinton, NY. SUNYIT took first place with a total score of 324. The Pioneers shot a 334 and finished in second place. This tournament completed the fall season for the golf team.

    The Pioneers were led by senior Brian Marcantonio (Frankfort) who shot 78. Marcantonio shot 40 on the front and 38 on the back. Zach Reed (North Rose) finished second for UC shooting an 81. Other scores for Utica College were John Gaspa (Whitesboro)(87), AJ Mitchell (Camillus)(88) and Matt Jarvi (Syracuse)(89).

    UC finished in second place twice this fall. The first time they placed second was at the Utica College Invitational held at Valley View Golf Course. The UC invitaional was Utica College's first tournament of the season and the men shot 321 to finish second place out of ten teams. The Pioneers will be back in action in the Spring 2010 when they travel to Myrtle Beach in March for their Spring trip.
