UTICA, NY- Head Coach Eric Stilz of the Utica College swim and dive as well as the women’s water polo programs announced the hiring of Amber McMichael as the top assistant coach of the Pioneers Tuesday.

McMichael will assist Stilz with all facets of the men’s and women’s swim and dive teams as well as the women’s water polo program. McMichael comes to UC after an impressive water polo career at Wagner College in Staten Island, NY.

As a player she ranks second all-time at Wagner tallying 100 career assists, while guiding the Seahawks to a 83-58 record in four seasons. Her 32 career goals ranks seventh all-time at Wagner. She graduated in 2008 with a degree in sociology, while minoring in business administration.

She attended Govenor Mifflin High School in her hometown of Reading, PA where she was an all-state water polo player in 2002 and 2003.
