RESULTS

UTICA, NY (10/17/09) - The Utica College swim and dive teams both lost to visiting LeMoyne in the first meet of the season for the Pioneers at the Utica College Pool.  The women's team lost 183-46, while the men's team dropped a 171-42 decision against the Dolphins. 

Ashley Van Patten (Schenectady, NY) won both 1-meter dive events with scores of 141.40 and 202.70 to earn 18 total points for the women's team.  Adrian Romanski (Maspeth, NY) also swept the 1-meter diving events for UC with scores of 113.80 and 165.85.

Scott Wanner (New Hartford, NY) posted a second place finish for the Pioneers in the 100 yard butterfly (1:01.19) while Alyssa Cortese (New Hartford, NY) added a third place finish in the women's 200 yard individual medley with a time of 2:23.38.  Lauren Dunn (New Hartford, NY) also finished third in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2:09.46.

Utica returns to action on Oct. 31st when they travel to Oneonta, NY to take on Hartwick College.  The meet is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
