UC HIRES KRISTEN VASTA AS WOMEN’S BASKETBALL ASSISTANT

Head Coach Michele Davis of the Utica College women’s basketball team announced the hiring of Kristen Vasta as the top assistant coach of the Pioneers Tuesday.

BERRY EARNS ECAC UPSTATE ROOKIE OF THE YEAR HONORS

Utica College freshman forward Jessica Berry (Rome Free Academy/Rome) has been chosen as the 2007-08 ECAC Division III Upstate Women’s Basketball Rookie of the Year, in addition to being named to ECAC second team.

BERRY NAMED NYSWCAA ROOKIE OF THE YEAR

First-year forward Jessica Berry of the Utica College women’s basketball team was named the 2008 NYSWCAA Rookie of the Year Wednesday. She was named to the NYSWCAA All-Star team, which was composed of 10 players from the state of New York.
