WOMEN'S ICE HOCKEY LANDS EIGHT ON ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM

Eight members of the Utica College women’s hockey team were named to the All-Academic Team by the ECAC Women’s West conference on April 8. Among the players named were seniors Samantha Rowan (Trenton, MI) and Jessica Leclerc (Augusta, ME). The Pioneers' led the conference (ten total teams) with eight representatives .

LECLERC EARNS ALL-CONFERENCE FOR THIRD STRAIGHT YEAR

Senior captain Jessica Leclerc of the Utica College women’s hockey team earned 2008-09 ECAC Women’s West All-Conference honorable mention Thursday. The honor marks the third straight season Leclerc has earned all-conference recognition.

WOMEN'S HOCKEY KNOCKED OUT OF CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT

The fifth seeded Utica College women's hockey team lost to fourth seeded and host Neumann College 6-1 in the first round of the ECAC Women's West Conference Tournament Saturday night in Ashton, PA. Darcy Hier netted the lone goal of the contest for UC. The Pioneers out shot the Knights 32-25 on the evening.
