Rochester (5-1-2, 0-0) scored three goals in the first 22 minutes of play, the first by Lindsay Rood (Delmar, NY) at 12:37, and the next two by Erin Carballo (Old Tappan, NJ) at 17:21 and Jessica Smith (Churchville, NY) at 21:15. Utica (3-4, 2-1) could not comeback in the second half as they allowed four more Rochester goals.

Monique Schneeberger (Copenhagen, NY) made nine saves for the Pioneers. Junior
Amber Comeau (Medford, MA) and senior
Danielle Smith (Verona, NY) mustered the only shots for Utica, as Rochester out shot the Pioneers 37-2.
