Danielle Smith 2008: Played in 15 games … Also started three games in goal for the Pioneers, tallying two shutouts … Compiled a 2-0-1 record in net and surrendered just one goal all
season … Ranked second on the team with 20 points on seven goals and a teamhigh six assists … Netted two goals and added two assists, good for a career-high six points, in the Pioneers’ 6-0 shutout victory over conference rival Alfred (9/27/08) … Registered 12 points in a span of four games midway through the season … Tallied six multiple point contests … Totaled 11 shots, adding one goal and one assist in the Pioneers’ 3-2 loss against Fisher (10/11/08) … Named Empire 8 All-Conference Honorable Mention, marking her third straight appearance on the all-conference team … Heads into her senior campaign with 52 total points, including 19 goals and 14 assists.

Personal: Danielle is a 2006 graduate of Vernon-Verona- Sherrill High School and she is the daughter of Randy and Maureen Smith … She is a physical therapy major … Younger sister of former teammate and Utica College graduate Ashley Smith.
