- On Wednesday, Oct. 14, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., Utica College invites its Economic Crime Investigation and Cybersecurity seniors to a networking event titled, “On the Front Lines of Consumer Protection: A Day in the Life of A CFPB Examiner.” 

Students will have the opportunity to network with recruitment representatives from The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau of Washington, D.C., who hope to recruit talent for full-time positions and internships.

The Bureau is an independent unit located inside and funded by the United States Federal Reserve. Its employees strive to help consumer finance markets by setting and enforcing rules to empower consumers to take more control over their economic lives. Its most pressing concern is customer protection in regards to mortgages, credit cards and student loans.

The program will begin with UC staff welcoming the representatives and briefing them on all UC’s economic crime investigation program has offered its students. Then, CFPB representatives will walk students through the application process. A Q&A session will immediately follow.

This event is a great opportunity for Utica College’s economic crime investigation seniors looking to enter the workforce.
