Utica, NY (11/16/2015) - The Office of Student Activities at Utica College will host International Students Day on Tuesday, Nov. 17 at 1 p.m. in Strebel Student Center to honor the international students studying at UC and give them the opportunity to share a piece of their homeland with the UC students, faculty and staff.

Ten new students will dedicate flags at the dedication ceremony to represent the country in which they hold citizenship. This year, the countries represented include Barbados, Brazil, Congo, Haiti, Indonesia, Karen, South Korea, Mexico, Peru and Uzbekistan. The new flags will be displayed among the existing flags in the Ellen Knower Clarke Lounge, which represent the countries of all current international students at UC.

Students will also get the opportunity to get a taste of culture, as each international student will have a booth at the fair to share different aspects of the countries they come from through food, clothing, currency and other displays.

For more information on International Students Day, contact the Office of Student Activities at (315) 792-3037.
