UC Alumni Panel to Discuss Experiences, Share Advice with Grad Students

MBA grad students to meet alums working in the field

Utica, NY (08/09/2010) - It might still be the dog days of summer, but five graduates of the MBA program at Utica College will return to school August 12 to speak with current graduate students.“The Utica College MBA Experience: Game Plans and Success Stories” will highlight the alumni’s career paths, how the UC program helped them prepare, as well as some tips on how to be successful. The panel discussion will take place in the Economic Crime and Justice Studies Auditorium at 10 a.m.
They will address a cohort of 54 graduate students who are on campus for an MBA residency. UC offers two specializations: an MBA in economic crime and fraud management, and an MBA in professional accountancy.
The panelists are: Ashley M. Busa ’07, contract specialist for the Air Force Research Laboratory; Mussa Sanoe ’08, financial management support professional for The McGraw-Hill Companies; Erica M. Simpson ’09, marketing specialist for Bank of New York Mellon; Tom Taylor ’06, senior manager of corporate security at The Home Depot; and Tracy K. Webb ’08, director of compliance in the Office of the New York State Comptroller’s Division of Pension Investments and Cash Management.
Zhaodan Huang, associate professor of finance and director of the MBA program, said the panel discussion will give graduate residency students a good idea of what they can expect in the corporate world.
