"The Mortal Storm" Kicks Off Film@UC

Utica, NY (09/02/2010) - "The Mortal Storm" kicks off the fall semester of Film@UC.

As Adolph Hitler rose to power in pre-war Germany, a family is torn apart as they must decide whether to embrace Nazism. This haunting film chronicles their painful decisions and the aftermath.

The 1940 Frank Borzage film so infuriated the Nazi government that it led to the banning of all MGM films in Germany.

It will be shown Thursday, Sept. 2 at 7 p.m. in Macfarlane Auditorium, DePerno Hall, Utica College.  The screening is free and open to the public.
