Utica, NY (09/08/2010) - Utica College and PrattMWP officials have announced an historic collaboration that will jointly benefit students at both facilities.Presidents Todd Hutton of UC and Daniel O’Leary of Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute said effective immediately MWPAI will provide full-time UC students with full memberships free of charge. These memberships will entitle students to discounts on purchases at the MWPAI gift gallery, art education workshops, tickets to selected performing arts events, and classes at the School of Art. They will also have free access to the MWPAI art reference and music libraries, free admission to PrattMWP events, and access to seats (on a space-available basis) for bus trips to New York City galleries and museums.
In exchange, PrattMWP students will have free admission to all UC events (athletic and otherwise), use of athletic facilities, be able to participate in intramural athletic activities, and be able to take part in student clubs and organizations, although serving as officers of such organizations may be restricted.
Students can enjoy these benefits as long as they present their student ID cards through next May. This agreement is on a one-year trial, and, if well received, it may be extended.
