Utica, NY (09/07/2010) - Gary Leising, associate professor of English, will give the first Geotalk lecture of the academic year this Friday (Sept. 10).Part of UC’s Cultural Events series, Leising’s talk will chronicle a plethora of experiences with places literary, historical, and even mythical from several trips to London – a city that many of the English language’s greatest writers lived in and wrote about. He will also draw from the knowledge of art, culture, and history that he developed from trips to sites like Stratford, Oxford and Canterbury. Leising will discuss the places writers and their characters inhabited as well as how these places have inspired his own poetry.
