MV Center for Arts to Exhibit Works of "Our Own" Steven Specht

Utica, NY (09/09/2010) - Utica College professor of psychology and avid collagist Stephen Specht’s most recent art exhibit, “Collecting My Thoughts,” will be on display at the Mohawk Valley Center for the Arts.The exhibit opens Sept. 11 and will be on display Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. until Oct. 11. The opening reception will take place on Sunday, Sept. 12 from 2 to 4 p.m.
Specht has exhibited award-winning works at a number of venues in Central New York State including the New York State Fair, the Salmon River Fine Arts Gallery, Kirkland Arts Center, Mohawk Valley Center for the Arts and the juried Munson Williams Proctor Arts Institute Sidewalk Show.
He has also shown works nationally at the juried exhibit of the National Collage Society (NCS) and won a cash award in 2009 for his work at the NCS annual "Wish You Were Here" postcard show. He recently had work on exhibit at the Climate Gallery in New York City and at the 17th Annual International Salon of Contemporary Collage in Paris, France.
The MVCA is located at 401 Canal Place, Little Falls.
