The Utica College 1 Mile Walking Path
- Begin your walking tour at the Trax the Pioneer Moose statute, which was presented to the College by members of the class of 2005. The statue is represented on your map as Star #1 and is located outside the front entrance to the Harold T. Clark, Jr. Athletic Center (21).
- Follow the walking path outlined in black on your map heading southwest and then turning left at the corner of the Athletic Center, and continuing past the length of the facility.
- Turn right on to the path heading toward Star #2 on your map. Star #2 is located at the Faculty Center (8) and is our ¼ mile marker.
- Follow the sidewalk around the new Economic Crime and Justice Studies building (7). As you continue along the sidewalk you will pass Moses G. Hubbard Hall (6), Addison Miller White Hall (5), and the Isaac Gordon Science Center (4), all of which are on your right.
- Follow the walking path to Star #3 which is our 1/2 mile marker and the sidewalk entrance to the F. Eugene Romano Hall (3).
- Continue along the walking path which takes you around this building and towards the Frank E. Gannett Memorial Library (9).
- Turn right before the library, at the end of the sidewalk and continue along the crosswalk towards the Isaac Gordon Science Center (4).
- Veer to the left and continue toward the Michael A. Romano Plaza (10) and past Rocco F. DePerno Hall (11) on your left. As you continue along the path you will pass the Ralph F. Strebel Student Center (12), on your right and you will see a sculpture in front of the building. This carving is called “The Pioneer” by Artist Henry DiSpirito and was a gift from the class of 1957. “The Pioneer” is our #3 Star on the map and it represents our ¾ mile mark.
- The walking path continues veering toward the left, away from the Ralph F. Strebel Student Center (12) and guides you toward the Sherwood Boehlert Hall and Conference Center (14).
- Turn right and continue along the sidewalk, making your way around Sherwood Boehlert Hall and Conference Center (14).
- Before arriving at South Hall (15) turn right and pass between the two buildings toward the residence halls.
- Continue along highlighted path through the Edward and Jean Duffy Plaza (13) and head back to the Trax the Pioneer Moose statute (Star #1) to complete the 1 mile trail.
