Biography
Dawn has 32 years of nursing experience and 10 of them have been here at Utica. Dawn has a huge public health background and has dealt with and worked the last pandemic of 2009 for the flu of H1N1 and brought that experience with her to the University. Dawn likes homemade remedies for illnesses, enjoys educating the students on campus whether it be from hands only CPR, good hand washing, immunizations or about general illness. She is an active member of the Mohawk Valley Adult Immunization Coalition starting in 2003 while working for the County Health Department.
Outside of work, Dawn is a huge Utica Hockey fan. She also enjoys going to football games, spending time with her husband and 2 kids and of course seeing any goats that she can hold or do yoga with. She is a proud mother of an Eagle Scout with palms. Dawn also enjoys reading books by James Patterson and other various writers.
