Randall “Randy” DeFranco, Professor of Practice in Construction Management in the School of Business and Justice Studies, completed his bachelor's degree in architecture from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, and has more than 36 years of experience. Randy has held many positions in his field including designer, project manager, sole proprietor, construction administrator, and master planner. He has won several awards for his research and design, and is also a published author. As a facilities planning consultant, he led a team of professional in the development of a methodology for facility condition assessment and long-term capital planning, which integrates physical survey by facilities experts and custom computer applications for data management. That system is currently utilized to manage U.S. federal office buildings, including the Capitol.
